For once I’m speechless…which is a rare relief for my family. But Stephen Sondheim was the very definition of a genius. Genius is much overused and very rarely ever appropriate or accurate. Or, perhaps, their lack of timing…?Īnd all set to an appropriate and gloriously melancholic melody. Was there ever a better song or poem or story written about serendipity’s role in love?
